For their Shingle-Style house located in the Fisher Hill Historic District of Brookline, our clients requested a new kitchen that would respect the character of the house. Our design employs traditional elements: face-frame cabinets, honed marble counters, a farmer's sink, delicate glass pendant lights, and upper cabinets with diamond-paned leaded glass. The island with it's heavy turned table legs and a salvaged oak top is reminiscent of an old-fashioned butcher's work table. All these combine to create a distinctive kitchen that seats itself comfortably within the tradition of this house.
