Our clients wished to update their historic house to create a more welcoming feel. To achieve this goal, we designed a contemporary kitchen with an open eating area, a central island, and an informal mudroom entry. All contribute to create a comfortable center for family gathering. An existing staircase gracefully connects the living floor to bedrooms on the second level. We extended this experience, creating an open stair up to renovated spaces on the third floor. By curating inherited furniture, arranging art, and employing a clean color palette, subtle patterns, and varied textures, the house is re-invigorated with youthful energy reflecting our clients' family.
