Jamaica Plain Kitchen

  • Renovation

The new kitchen in this Arts and Crafts style house translates the ideas and workmanship of the original into a contemporary idiom. The work counter is situated along a window wall which admits abundant daylight; herbs prosper on a bracketed aluminum shelf. Opposite, floor to ceiling cabinets provide abundant storage and conceal appliances. A seating counter overlooks the back garden. Discreet white oak cabinets open to reveal surprising splashes of color; rubber tile floors are functional and also colorful. Stone counters complement glass backsplashes.
